Will Wade is gone. LSU dumped Wade on Saturday, one day after his Tigers bowed out of the Southeastern Conference tournament. He leaves behind a 108-53 record over five years, with two NCAA tournament berths and another one coming Sunday. He also leaves behind a big, big mess. On Saturday, the same day LSU fired Wade, it revealed the NCAA’s notice of allegations sent to the athletic department last week. It includes eight Level I violations — seven of which were directly tied to men’s basketball; six of which were directly tied to Wade. Our columnist, Scott Rabalais, believes that however bad you thought this case was for LSU, it’s probably worse than that. The LSU football program has always been included in this same case, as well, for violations dating to 2012. Here’s how the football program is affected.
