As “data stewardship” has shifted from technical to marketing roles, it is paramount that we marketers clearly understand the nuances between honoring consumer privacy and enforcing data governance. After all, compliance requirements will only become more complex while we continue to receive increased pressure to improve the customer journey. Bottom line: We will need to do more with less.
