Employment Hero is looking to radically shake up the jobs market as the human resources tech group dives into wage transparency with what it claims is the most accurate and up-to-date salary data in the world.

The platform will now tell jobseekers exactly how much those with similar skills are paid, using anonymised data from across the platform that comes directly from payslips.

Tech graduate job readiness has reached a new low, with just 1 per cent able to hit the ground running in a new position after leaving university. It’s a dynamic that forcing even more employers to look offshore to fill roles with remote workers, often on lower salaries.

Meanwhile, the nation’s third-largest telco has outmanoeuvred its biggest competitor to land the largest smart meter rollout in Australia, over a stretch that’s tens of thousands of kilometres long. Here’s what it entails.
