LAS VEGAS:MGM Rewards, the reimagined loyalty program of MGM Resorts, kicked off “The Wild Wild Quest,” a scavenger hunt of hidden QR codes across The Strip that can unlock access to Vegas vacation grand prizes through a sweepstakes. Until July 11, nine different MGM Resorts across The Strip will reveal QR codes hidden around the resorts. No purchase or property visit is required to enter, and unique QR codes will additionally be hidden in the MGM Rewards TV commercial airing nationwide and online. Participants can also enter by mail. Grand prizes include flying in a private jet to Las Vegas with eight-time Grammy Award-winner Usher, a three-night stay at ARIA Sky Suites in a Strip-view Penthouse, a golf lesson with a PGA or LPGA player at Shadow Creek, a $15,000 cash prize, and more.
MIAMI:The Miami Beach Botanical Garden and Sunflower Society have announced the return of free summer art classes for kids. Kicking off July 6 and running through Aug. 3, Sunflower Society teachers Winsome Bolt and Denise Marlow will guide young artists aged 5-12 as they create masterpieces using objects from nature. This year's theme is "Insects & Flowers," and on Aug. 3 from 4-6 p.m., there will be a student art exhibition for friends and families to attend. Registration is available on Eventbrite and is required to attend classes.
NEW YORK: The 18th annual Hamptons Happening Benefit takes place July 9 at 6:30 p.m. on the Bridgehampton estate of hosts Kenneth and Maria Fishel. The event will support research funded by the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation (SWCRF) and is expected to raise more than $350,000. The benefit will also feature a silent auction and tasting stations courtesy of chef honoree Julian Medina, chef Peter Ambrose, Union Burger Bar, and so many more. Beverages will be provided by Herradura and Woodford Reserve, and desserts will also be on-site from the likes of Lilly's Baking Company and Magnolia Barkery, among others. Tickets are available via SWCRF's website. PASADENA, CALIF.: The first annual Palomino Festival will take over Brookside at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif., on July 9. Featured artists under the country music umbrella will include Kacey Musgraves, Willie Nelson & Family, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Orville Peck, and more. The team executing this festival comes from the same team behind Stagecoach. Tickets can be reserved in advance online. SAN DIEGO: Entertainment Weekly will host its annual Comic-Con bash at FLOAT at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego on July 23. This closing-night event, in celebration of Comic-Con 2022, is sponsored by Prime Video, featuring The Lord of The Rings: The Rings of Power and tunes from DJ Michelle Pesce.
