I don’t know about you, but I’m struggling in the teaching department. I have zero patience, so I wasn’t surprised when it turned out I’m not a great homeschooler for my kids. I lose patience, they lose patience, it becomes a tearfest and it’s just no fun. The only time I shine is when it’s Go Noodle or outdoor time.
My colleague Catherine Pearson, herself a mom to two boys, felt herself struggling, too. She, too, can’t get her kids to listen for the life of her. So she spoke with a variety of experts to get some ways to have your kids actually listen to you and respect you as a teacher.
If you’re struggling in that department, take a read. It not only helped me -- here’s looking at you, Monday! -- but it made me cry a bit (though, to be fair, really inane things make me cry these days).
Stay healthy and home.
Until next week, much love,
