ATLANTA: Georgia International Convention Center has named the Fox Theatre its exclusive partner for its multipurpose arena, Gateway Center Arena @ College Park, slated to open this fall. The arena will seat 5,000 for live events. BOSTON: Hyatt Regency Cambridge has completed a multimillion-dollar renovation, which includes a revamp of the property’s 470 guest rooms and suites, the Zephyr Restaurant and Lounge, the lobby, and the 3,000-square-foot seasonal Riverside Pavilion. LOS ANGELES: CatCon will take place June 29-30 at the Pasadena Convention Center. MIAMI/SOUTH FLORIDA: Urbanica the Hotels developers Diego Colmenero and Charlie Porchetto plan to open three properties by 2020. The Euclid Hotel, a 30-room property, is slated to open in September; The Fifth, a 50-room hotel, will open in 2020; and the Biscayne, a 210-room hotel, will open in late 2020. NEW YORK: Beyond The Streets, a 10,000-square-foot graffiti and street art exhibition, will open at 25 Kent Avenue in Williamsburg on June 21. The limited-time exhibition will feature work from more than 150 artists, including Takashi Murakami, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Cleon Peterson, DabsMyla, and Keith Haring. |
