This was a subject of much debate in our house, where there were two trees to be disposed of. My daughter, who lives upstairs, just threw it off the balcony, reading that you can let them rot. There is a new cookbook as well called "How to Eat Your Christmas Tree" which encourages "reflection around food waste and resourcefulness in an age of deforestation and climate crisis." We will have to update the post for next year – the Christmas tree ice cream sounds yummy.
