Where's Johnny Jet? Greetings from sunny Southern California! I’ve been busy creating a ton of content so this week, you will find links to all of it below. On a personal note: Our local Manhattan Beach Farmer’s Market reopened on Tuesday for the first time in a couple of months. It was a welcome but surreal experience and I wrote about it in detail here as well as what I’m doing to get my money back from Air Canada for canceling my flight, which is fitting because the DOT, just yesterday, had to warn airlines – again – to issue refunds for canceled flights! Did the airline industry bottom out? Here’s the one airline that really is blocking middle seats I think they did and so does a leading air travel intelligence company. See this story that also includes stats from the TSA that show more people are traveling. With more people flying, there’s less of a chance you will have an empty seat next to you on the plane. Don’t believe the hype from United and American when they say they’re blocking the middle seats. There are also strict rules still in place for Hawaii and other states and countries are getting into the mix. What It's Like to Arrive in Hong Kong and Why The USA Should Follow Its Lead Speaking of strict policies? You have to read the tweets from this photo journalist who just went through Hong Kong this morning. It’s remarkable the measures they are taking for incoming passengers and I think the U.S. needs to do the same if they want to keep this virus at bay.
