Way back in March (yes, it feels like a decade ago to me, too), parents across the country began the thankless task of remote learning. Our kids responded by being clingy, angry and regressing in all kinds of ways.
Fast forward five months, and we’ve pretty much learned a whole lot of nothing and we’re sending our children back into those same classrooms. It’s only natural that they’ll have anxiety about it. I love this piece from senior reporter Catherine Pearson about the sneaky signs of anxiety to watch for in your kids.
And speaking of which, next Wednesday at 8 p.m. EST I’ll be speaking with Dr. Becky Kennedy (follow her on Instagram if you don't already!) on Zoom, a psychologist and mom of three, about how to navigate your child’s anxiety about the coronavirus, going back to school and everything else that’s happening in our big, bad world right now. We’ll have ample time for Q&A -- be sure to reserve your spot! |
