Two weeks ago, I shared about the Basics of Growing Your Art Sales with Facebook and FASO (click here to catch up now).
In that newsletter, I discussed the importance of having a Facebook Business Page to enhance your online presence and build your credibility. The ultimate goal of your Facebook Business Page is to drive potential customers to your artist website and let your website do the selling for you.
In today's article, I'll dive into the step by step instructions so you can easily setup your Facebook Business Page to start reaching more potential customers on the social media platform.
1. From the Facebook homepage, click Pages in the sidebar menu on the left.
|
2. Click the Create New Page button in the menu on the left.
|
3. Enter your business details.
On the left-hand menu, enter a Page Name, select a Category, and write a Description of your business. The right side of the page will show you a preview of your Business Page as you add information so you can view it as visitors will see it.
Pick a name for your Facebook page that includes your name to make it easy for people to find you. Remember, it's all about accessibility.

4. Add images to your Business Page to bring your profile to life.
Add a Profile Picture (preferably a headshot) so your visitors can put a face to the name. It will also help your visitors emotionally connect and engage with you on a deeper level if they can visualize the person behind the art.
Make sure you also add a Cover Photo based on a piece of art that you want to sell. Update this photo whenever the piece sells or every couple weeks to provide variety to your visitors.
|
5. Add a call to action button.
Add a call-to-action button from the list of options by clicking Add a Button at the top-right of your page. Eventually, you'll want this button to link to your Facebook Shop but if you don't have that setup yet, simply use the Learn More option to send them to your website.
|
Stay tuned for the next article (coming in two weeks) where I'll show you How to Setup a Facebook Shop and Connect it to FASO.
Sincerely,
|
