Every motivated business owner wants to make more money…
But as the late rapper Notorious B.I.G. famously stated, “Mo money, mo problems.”
And it’s true…
In fact, I’ve seen this over and over in my coaching business.
The more money we help our clients make, the more additional problems it brings them.
Our typical client experiences the “entrepreneur evolution”...
From “broke / struggling” to first-world problems, such as:
- “How do I manage all the people that work for me?”
- “Where do I invest my extra money?”
- “How do I legally minimize taxes?”
- “Where’s the best place to buy a vacation home for my family?”
I know, I know, our clients have such tough lives. ;) But here’s the thing…
Solving their existing problems provides even more opportunity for my business to grow and provide additional solutions for their higher level problems.
Same goes for YOUR business. If you feel like you’ve reached a sales ceiling with your existing offer…
Just ask yourself:
What additional problems do your clients face when your initial solution works for them?
Make a list.
For example…
If you’re a sales coach and you increase the conversion rates of your clients…
That means they’ll soon be too busy to deliver the service AND take all the sales calls.
They’re going to have to expand their sales team…
And now you can provide a program for them training new salespeople.
If you’re a weight loss coach that helps obese people lose the first 30 pounds of fat…
You’re going to have happy clients looking to go to the next level of optimizing their health.
What supplements can you offer to help them get even better results?
Or after you’ve helped clients shed the fat — maybe they need your help building muscle.
One of my friends, Steven McBee, has a successful chain of car washes.
His clients come back again and again…
But the problem is the client is “bored” for 5-10 minutes in the car wash…
So he started putting coffee shops in car washes so people could enjoy a cup of joe and a donut while they waited.
You are only limited by your creativity. Because humans are driven to want MORE.
99% of humans can never be fully satisfied.
It doesn’t matter how rich people get …
They always want one more house, a bigger jet, another watch, or they want to be tougher (see Mark Zuckerberg’s MMA fascination), etc.
Your clients want MORE. You can either serve them more or let them buy elsewhere.
But buy they will.
Might as well be from you.
