Facebook expands paid leave for caregiving, death in family Facebook's Sheryl Sandberg says the company is expanding paid-leave benefits for employees faced with caring for a sick family member or mourning the death of a loved one. The company is giving workers up to 20 days of paid leave for the death of an immediate family member, up to six weeks of paid leave to care for a sick relative, and up to three days of leave to take care of a family member with a short-term illness.
