In light of the new EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR), which will take effect on 25th of May 2018, we would like to provide you with certain information about the data we process in order to send information to you.
Semcon respects your privacy and will protect any of your personal data that we process. All personal data are processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
Grounds for using your personal data
We process your data in order to communicate with you, provide you with newsletters and marketing communication and to maintain our business contacts. When doing so we rely on our legitimate interests in maintaining business relationships and communicating with you, as a business contact, about our operations, news, business opportunities, trainings and our events etc. We consider that our legitimate interests abide by the law and the legal rights and freedoms of our business contacts.
Your rights
We welcome your inquiries and comments. You have the right to know what personal data we process about you and may request a copy. You are also entitled to have incorrect personal data about you corrected and you may ask us to delete your personal data. You can also object to certain personal data about you being processed and request that processing of your personal data be limited. Please note that the limitation or deletion of your personal data may mean we will be unable to provide future communications and invitations.
If you are dissatisfied with how we process your personal data, you are entitled to report this to the Swedish Data Inspection Board which is the supervisory authority. If you are located outside of Sweden, you can also report to your local Data Inspection Board.
