We take a look at the questions about the placement of the new Mississippi River bridge. Will the route between Plaquemine and St. Gabriel really take a load off I-10? Rain on the way. A tropical disturbance just off the coast is expected to dump up to 15 inches of rain between now and Sunday. It won't all fall at once, but it could come down as cats and dogs at times. No override session upcoming. Louisiana legislators have opted against returning to Baton Rouge for an attempt to override some of the 29 vetoes that Gov. John Bel Edwards made after the 2022 session. Twenty-five senators said there was no need to come back. That was five more than the number necessary to call off the veto session. |
