What's Happening

The Met will repatriate two Benin bronzes to Nigeria, with critics noting it has failed to address the hundreds of other works that remain in its collection. The world’s first Nintendo museum will be built on the site of the company’s historic Nintendo Uji Ogura Plant in Kyoto, Japan. Hundreds marched through Midtown, while activists unfurled a “Strike MoMA” banner inside the Museum of Modern Art’s sculpture garden during the final week of protests to hold the museum accountable for its board members.
