HRSA Administrator Carole Johnson joined Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) and Rep. Robin Kelly (IL-02) for a Maternal Outcomes Matter Showers (M.O.M.S.) Tour event and roundtable in Chicago last weekend, greeting visiting moms and kids at Corliss High School on the cityâs south side. The M.O.M.S. Tour is a cross-HHS campaign calling for better health services to America's pregnant mothers, their babies and families in underserved cities and counties nationwide. To improve maternal health, HRSA funds health centers, and programs such as Healthy Start, Home Visiting and the 24/7 National Maternal Mental Health Hotline for moms who may need support during or after pregnancy, and their loved ones: 1-833-TLC-MAMA (1-833-852-6262). | Mark your calendars and join HRSA on Thursday, November 16, 11 a.m. ET for a discussion about innovations in rural health care delivery in celebration of National Rural Health Day. Federal leaders will spotlight innovative programs that are working to increase access to rural health services and provide affordable and coordinated care to over 61 million rural Americans through partnerships and new technologies. Other events throughout the week will include a virtual HRSA rural job fair, discussion about rural programs, the latest in rural research, and much more! View the full schedule of events on HRSAâs National Rural Health Day Agenda page. | | Register now for the HRSA Virtual Job Fair on Wednesday, November 15, 6-9 p.m. ET. This event connects health care professionals with representatives from 50 health care facilities serving rural communities nationwide. | Medical students pursuing an Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) specialty and certified nurse midwife students can receive up to $160,000 with an award from the National Health Service Corpsâ Students to Service Loan Repayment Program.
