| 15 March 2024 The fine was issued following 2 separate incidents involving workers being caught and severely injured in machinery at a factory. 15 March 2024 A worker fell nearly 2 metres through an opening in a scaffold, suffering several broken ribs and serious internal injuries including. 8 March 2024 The fine was issued after a worker fell into a sump due to inadequate grating and sustained severe burn injuries and permanent scarring to his leg. 6 March 2024 A worker's right arm was severed after becoming entangled and trapped in a catalytic converter sampling machine. 6 March 2024 The worker was unpacking slabs using an overhead crane when 2 slabs weighing 250kg each fell and crushed the worker against a forklift truck. 5 March 2024 A 120,000 fine has been issued following the worker suffering fatal injuries after becoming trapped between 2 heavy steel beams. 1 March 2024 The worker was stowing equipment in a trailer when a reversing forklift struck the attached vehicle. This led to the trailer shunting into the worker causing him to fall over and hit his head on the tarmac floor below. |
