HSE is seeking volunteers to take part in research to determine operator exposure during the application of pesticides. The research will help expand our understanding of how farmers and growers might be exposed, by taking measurements while they apply pesticides. We are interested in 2 different application scenarios: Applications in crop tunnels with vehicle mounted/trailed equipment Applications using vehicle mounted weed wipers The study requires participants to undertake their working day as normal but would require them to wear additional clothing and possibly use a pump to allow us to sample pesticides. Volunteers will receive a 100 multi-store gift card that can be redeemed in-store or online. This work will help inform HSE's future regulatory decisions regarding the acceptable use of pesticides. If you would like to take part, please submit your detailsor contact us by telephone at 0203 028 2146.
