It was a failure. A painting in a museum hears more ridiculous opinions than anything else in the world. --- Edmond de Goncourt (1822 - 1896) (That was long before televised parliament) ______________________________________________________ Some newly married friends were visiting us when the topic of children came up. The bride said she wanted three children, while the young husband said two would be enough for him. They discussed this discrepancy for a few minutes until the husband thought he`d put an end to things by saying boldly, "After our second child, I'll just have a vasectomy." Without a moments hesitation, the bride retorted, "Well, I hope you'll love the third one as if it was your own." ___________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________ A man went to the doctor complaining of insomnia. The doctor gave him a thorough examination, found absolutely nothing physically wrong with him, and then told him, "Listen, if you ever expect to cure your insomnia, you just have to stop taking your trouble to bed with you." "I know" said the man, "but I can't. My wife refuses to sleep alone." ____________________________________________________ _______________________________________________ A handyman was working for a temple in Allentown, PA, had asked for a raise and was turned down. He decided to quit and went out to look for work. First he went to a Catholic church and was told that in order to work there he would have to answer one question. The priest asked, "Where was Jesus born"? The man answered, "Pittsburgh," and was thrown out. He then went to a Baptist church. The minister told him that in order to get a job there he would have to answer a question. He was asked, "Where was Jesus born"? The man answered, "Philadelphia." He was tossed out. Walking away he met the rabbi who was looking for him. The rabbi exclaimed, "The board approved your raise. Please come back immediately." The man said to the rabbi, "I will come back only if you answer a question. "Where was Jesus born?" The rabbi says, "Bethlehem." "Damn," cries the man. "I knew it was somewhere in Pennsylvania." _______________________________________________ An INTERNATIONAL BONEHEAD AWARD has been earned by Vasquez Alvarez, Phoenix, Arizona, USA Worker killed in shooting at central Phoenix Burger King, suspect arrested Phoenix Police officials say a suspect has been arrested in connection to a shooting at a fast-food restaurant that left a woman dead and a teen hurt. According to Phoenix Police Sergeant Phil Krynsky, officers responded at 9 p.m. on April 12 to a shooting call at a Burger King in the area of 19th Avenue and Buckeye Road. "When they arrived, they found a woman and a juvenile female inside the business suffering from gunshot wounds," Sgt. Phil Krynsky said. The woman, identified as 25-year-old Maria Ledesma Ramirez, died at the scene. The teen was rushed to a hospital with serious injuries. She is currently in stable condition. The suspect fled the scene after the shooting. According to investigators, officers learned that the victims were Burger King employees and the suspect in the shooting, 29-year-old Gerardo Vazquez Alvarez, was Ramirez's ex-boyfriend. Detectives were able to find Alvarez in an area south of Phoenix, and he was taken into custody. "Vasquez Alvarez was interviewed and admitted to his involvement in the shooting," Krynsky said. "He will be booked into the Maricopa County Jail for multiple felony charges to include First Degree Murder and Attempted Murder." He is being held on a $1 million cash bond. _______________________________________________ DeaWebby's Tech Support Pits From: Ida Re: How do you recognize a thumbnail?
