Good Morning, Do! Today is Friday, April 23 Time to wear a bit of red to show your support for the troops! ___________________________________________________ If you can spare a coin, PLEASE hit PayPal with it! ___________________________________________________ High school coach, pastor among 79 arrested in human trafficking sting before WrestleMania ___________________________________________________ Today, April 22 in 1988 Kanellos Kanelopoulos set three world records for human- powered flight when he stayed in the air for 74 miles and four hours in his pedal-powered "Daedalus". ____________________________________________________ He who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever. --- Chinese Proverb ____________________________________________________ Georgina likes sitting in the park feeding the pigeons. One day she brought half a loaf of bread that had gone a bit moldy to feed her daily company. Little by little, pinch by pinch, she fed each pigeon with joy. She sat there without being noticed by anyone. Then suddenly a woman rained on her parade by telling her that she shouldn't throw away good food on a bunch of pigeons that can find food anywhere, when there are a lot of people starving in Africa. After staring at her for a few seconds, she handed her the last chunk of bread and said: "Since you are so full of hot air and good advice, I'll let you take this to Africa" ____________________________________________________ This one is a repeat from the early 90s Heard on the plane: >From the granny in the "Scare North" parka (the stewardess): "They remembered to put the gas cap on today, so we won't be doing the usual circling back to the airport. Which is unfortunate, because they forgot to put the cap on the coffee thermos." And from the pilot during his message: "We are pleased to have some of the best flight attendants in the industry... They will be on the next flight." One time in the 70s when they were still using their drafty see-through DC3 from Whitehorse to Dawson City, Dennis the pilot was in a serious looking conference with the stewardess and then came walking back, looking pointedly at the bright red toolcase on the floor between my feet and asked: "Does anybody by any chance have a 3/4" wrench?" I was on my way to fix a big generator and certainly did have all the wrenches with me. After I handed him a 3/4" wrench, he went back to the stewardess. She handed him a beer. In those days the beer still had crown- caps instead of screw-tops. He grabbed the bottle tighly around the neck with one hand, leveraged the wrench over his thumb and expertly popped the cap. Seems they had forgotten the bottle opener on that trip, but by the time we reached Dawson City the stewardess got pretty good at opening beer with a wrench. ____________________________________________________ Horned Grebes near Calgary, doing their ritual mating dance ____________________________________________________ A woman awoke during the night to find that her husband was not in bed. She put on her robe and went downstairs. He was sitting at the kitchen table with a cup of coffee in front of him. He appeared to be in deep thought, just staring at the wall. She saw him wipe a tear from his eye and take a sip of his coffee. " What's the matter dear? Why are you down here at this time of night?" she asked. "Do you remember twenty years ago when we were dating, and you were only 16?" he asked. "Yes, I do," she replied. "Do you remember when your father caught us in the back seat of my car making love?" "Yes, I remember." Do you remember when he shoved that shotgun in my face and said, "Either you marry my daughter, or spend twenty years in jail?" "Yes, I do," she said. He wiped another tear from his cheek and said, "You know...I would have gotten out of jail today." ____________________________________________________ An INTERNATIONAL BONEHEAD AWARD has been earned by Earnest Benjamin, 39, pastor, Christopher Ray, 39, coach, Rusy Harden, a registered sex offender who is on probation, Hillsborough County, Florida, USA High school coach, pastor among 79 arrested in human trafficking sting before WrestleMania Hillsborough County detectives said dozens were arrested in the days leading up to WrestleMania 37 during an anti-human trafficking operation, including a high school basketball coach and a pastor who solicited sex while his two children were with him. Sheriff Chad Chronister announced Thursday morning the arrests of 79 people during "Operation Takedown." "As we have seen so many times before," he said during a press conference, "our great community can sometimes be tainted by individuals who use these large events to take advantage of another for human trafficking." The sheriff said detectives made undercover online profiles and phony advertisements for sex. Female detectives posed as "streetwalkers." Among those arrested was 39-year-old Earnest Benjamin, a pastor at Breath of Life Worship Church, located along Fowler Avenue in Tampa. Sheriff Chronister said he offered $25 for oral sex, and made the deal in the presence of his children. Sheriff Chronister also highlighted another arrest: 39-year-old Christopher Ray, a girls basketball coach at Land O' Lakes High School. He said Ray responded to an ad placed on an escort website. The Pasco County School District told FOX 13 that Ray has been suspended since Monday. He has been employed with the school since October 2019. "Suspended until we decide what we want to do next," school officials said. Another suspect was 41-year-old Rusy Harden, a registered sex offender who is on probation, the sheriff explained. Officials said Harden believed he was texting with a 14-year-old girl, and tried to meet her. "He traveled to meet the girl but instead was met with our detectives," Chronister said.
DearWebby's Tech Support Pits From: Amy Re: Skype or ZOOM ? Dear Webby What is better? Skype or Zoom? Amy Dear Amy Skype unfortunately has been bought by Microsoft to prevent Google from getting it. They paid $8.5 BILLION for it to make sure. Unfortunately a year later the yuppies at Microsoft messed with it, and the quality went way down. It still works, but it is not as good as it used to be. Zoom has better video and much better sound. However, with ZOOM you have to emailyour contact the connection URL and pass code. With Skype you just click on their name and fire away a text message. If they are awake, they see it. If they are not, the message sits there waiting for them. You can even send an SMS text to their GPS or cell phone. So, best is to have both. Skype for easy connectivity, ZOOM for high quality. I have frequently sent the ZOOM connection info via Skype. In real life you will need both. For example I have used Skype since the late 90s with never a problem. However, my diabetic nurse is in the Govermint and has to use Zoom. So she emails me the connection info and password, and we connect at the appointed time, so that she can cuss at me for "sinning" last Tuesday evening, as shown by the spike in the graph. For stuff like that I agree, Zoom IS indeed better. However, if you just want to flirt at your lover, often and without any rigamarole, then use Skype. Have FUN! DearWebby
A man and a woman had been married for ten years and decided to try and have kids. They had not been using birth control for the entire time they had been married, so they thought they may have a problem conceiving. The woman decided to go to the gynecologist and see if the problem was with her. She had been hard of hearing since she s little. The doctor examined her and came in to give her the conclusions. He said, "I'm sorry, but the problem is with you. You have insufficient passion and if you ever have a baby it will be a miracle." The woman was very upset and went home crying. Her husband got home and asked her what was wrong. She said, "The doctor told me I've got a fish up my passage and if I ever have a baby it will be a mackerel." ---------------- I can certainly sympathise with her. My hearing is like that. In High-school, college and university I became a master of guessing and faking answers to questions, I had neither heard nor understood. They never quite mmade me repeat. I was too much of a nuissance for that.

A sixth grade class is doing some spelling drills. The teacher asks Tommy if he can spell 'before.' He stands up and says, "Before, B-E-P-H-O-R." The teacher says, "No, that's wrong. Can anyone else spell before?" Another little boy stands up and says, "Before, B-E-F- O-O-R." Again the teacher says, "No, that's wrong." Then the teacher asks, "Do can you spell 'before'?" Do stands up and says, "Before, B-E-F-O-R-E." "Excellent Do, now can you use it in a sentence?" Do says, "That's easy. Two plus two be fore." ____________________________________________ When a physician remarked on a new patient's extraordinarily ruddy complexion, he said, "High blood pressure, Doc. It comes from my family." "Your mother's side or your father's?" Doc asked. "Neither," he replied. "It's from my wife's family." "Oh, come now," Doc said. "How could your wife's family give you high blood pressure?" He sighed. "You oughta meet 'em sometime, Doc!" ____________________________________________ There was this little guy sitting in a bar, drinking, minding his own business when all of a sudden this great big dude comes in and --WHACK!!-- he knocks him off the bar stool and says, "That was a karate chop from Korea." The little guy thinks "GEEZ" but he gets back up on the stool and starts drinking again when all of a sudden --WHACK-- the big dude knocks him down AGAIN and says, "That was a judo chop from Japan." The little guy has had enough of this so he leaves and is gone for an hour or so and when comes back. --WHACK!!!"-- He knocks the big dude off his stool and out cold!!! The little guy looks at the bartender and says, "When he comes to again,, tell him that was a crowbar from Home Depot. ____________________________________________
