Happy Friday, and welcome to the Nov. 8 edition of the Saints Insider newsletter. We are two days away from the Saints’ game against the rival Atlanta Falcons at Caesars Superdome. Here’s a look at our stories from Thursday. Falcon hunting You know all about the troubles the Saints have had on defense at times this season. Missed tackles. Penalties. Giving up big plays. Well, the Saints are looking to start having fun again on defense. It started this week in the locker room and they need it to spill over onto the field. Beat writer Matt Paras takes a look at the defense’s mission to go back to being “hunters.” For the record Alvin Kamara will likely write another chapter in the Saints’ history book on Sunday. He’s just 12 yards away from passing Mark Ingram to become the franchise’s all-time leading rusher. Beat writer Luke Johnson caught up with Kamara to talk about the record. Good news The Saints’ injury report had some good news. One key offensive player returned to practice, meaning he’s closer to returning. Also, a defensive player was a full participant for the first time in weeks. That’s all for today. Be sure to go to www.nola.com today for more updates. Also, we’ll record an episode of The Saints Insider podcast today, so make sure you’re subscribing to the YouTube channel. As always, thanks for reading. Have a great weekend. Rod Walker |
