Let Me Introduce You To Timber Back in 2012 Sophia emerged as an expression of an aspect of my self. This manifested itself in 62 drawings and meditations. You can get prints of almost all of them. There's also the collection in my popular book, The Liberation of Sophia. Well... now comes along Timber. Like the name Sophia, I can't tell you where the name Timber came from. But it's fitting because Timber means strong and courageous, and I can hear her shouting "TIMBER!" when she topples her obstacles over. It still hasn't become totally clear what's going on with me. But it has something to do with my inner strength and courage coming forth. It has something to do with me confronting obstacles and taking them down. It has something to do with me facing the elements and pressing through to be fully me. Fully, authentically, honestly, me. I think it's usually a woman, my anima, that manifests in such ways because the Church oppressed and even persecutes the feminine... the nurturing, mothering, birthing, caring, earthy, fierce, gracious, empathetic, gathering, sensual, universal aspect of humanity. I invite you to travel along with me as Timber continues to reveal herself. (My plans are to write meditations to accompany these drawings... pulling on my Z-Theory... FINALLY!... to make a book. I'm excited about it.) |
