Hi John, Ever wonder what would happen if you tried to draw with your non-dominant hand? I gave myself this playful challenge and have the silly results to share with you (and I'm embracing every wonky line!). Voila! Non-dominant hand drawing in all its wobbly glory. One element is drawn with my dominant (right) hand. Can you spot it? Here's what happened... Letting go of control is surprisingly freeing! When I switched to my left hand, I stopped worrying about making the drawing "perfect" because I knew it couldn't be. I let go of expectations and got into the experience of making marks on paper. And it felt good because judgment left the room. So much so that I'm sharing this silly piece with you without worry. Ready to try it yourself? It just takes a few minutes ⏱ The Hand-Switching Game: Find a piece of paper and a drawing tool Pick something simple to draw (a cup, a cat, a house - anything you like) Use your non-dominant hand to draw it Now, draw something with your dominant hand Notice how you feel as you draw with both hands Give yourself permission to make something for the joy of making it. Reply to this email with your wobbly creation if you feel like sharing. Until next time, keep creating! Rachelle TinkerLab p.s. What thoughts bubble up when you draw with your other hand?
