Inspiring others: Iowa takes the lead with a fun new website It can be tricky to find fun or inspirational stories in the age of COVID-19, but Iowans don’t have to look too far. The Iowa state government has put together a website and hashtag dubbed #IowansUnite, which lets ordinary people around the state share their stories and experiences helping one another during these unprecedented times. If you tag a photo on social media with #IowansUnite, you might even get featured in the website’s gallery, which will even include your photo’s description if you or your business want to make an announcement to the community. These gestures may be small, but every time somebody acts selflessly, it helps to keep morale and inspire others. Wouldn’t it be great if other states followed suit? Perhaps we can do a national #AmericansUnite hashtag so we can all show one another that we’re in this together. It’s great to see that Iowa is doing something right. Well, everything but the state caucus. Tap or click to find out why the Iowa caucuses are so different from other primaries. → |
