I’ve been in the beauty industry for a decade, so it’s rare—and almost embarrassing—when I’m turned on to a product by other people. But if someone’s going to best me in this arena, it makes sense that it’s a celebrity. Over the last month, my wishlist has grown exponentially thanks to a handful of celebs. Through Jane Fonda and Jodie Foster, I didn’t just learn about a new product, I learned about new brands. Fonda introduced me to Prestidge, which has been used on the star's skin—specifically the 7-in-1 Ageless Skin Serum that one shopper said “helped the crinkly skin” on their cheeks. From Foster, I learned about indie brand FarmHouse Fresh thanks to her Golden Globes prep; its tightening neck cream improves “crepey skin,” per shoppers. Meanwhile, Bella Hadid, Nicole Kidman, and Demi Mooretaught me about under-the-radar gems from familiar brands. Hadid just raved about the Clinique pore-blurring tinted moisturizer that is also popular with shoppers twice her age. Kidman wore Beautypie's anti-aging serum-meets-primer to a Babygirl movie premiere—it eliminates the need for foundation, per users. Lastly, Moore (who seems to be aging backwards) nabbed her Golden Globe while wearing a new plumping Dior moisturizer. |
