Note: For best results, this NewThink series assumes you have read my free intro e-book, The Unseen Therapist.
From Gary: Conventional thinking defines love, of course, in human terms. NewThink, however, points us to an entirely different level and allows us all to find a new, more exquisite way of getting through this world.
This brief video points us in this direction. |

It featured Q&A plus our newest Unseen Therapist exercise regarding guilt. Even though there were some technical difficulties with playing the exercise via Zoom (now corrected in the recording), there were numerous high-level results in your responses. Here are some of them.
*The idea is really great - and EASY! Thank you Gary! And thank you for your constant work for "us all"! *My issue went from an 8 to a zero. Since this was a pretty big issue for me, I will be back to test, but for now I feel complete relief! *I really LOVE these simple visualizations. They usually really work well for me and I love developing my own as I consider doing this to be a creative art form. Thank you Gary, Sheri and everyone! xo *I found it fantastic. *Now at a Level 0 and what I was horrified about when caught as a teenager, I am now entertained by the memory. *My incident involves hearing the words "Oh no, look what I did!" Then I enter the carwash and my feeling of guilt moves into sorrow for all humans who feel guilty, followed by a breeze of compassion for all of us in the human condition, which opens to include myself. The music helps me move on, into a longing for union with the UT. Then I look around and find I've allowed my "sins" to drop away. They disappear, washed down the drain in the car wash. I went from a 9 on the intensity to a 5 after the first trip through, then a 2 and finally I'm at zero. *Thirdly, I love the mini exercises you are putting together. What a resource that will be - thank you for working so long on them. *This exercise has been phenomenal for me.... I'm lost for words to describe how precious it is. So far, the next day I feel lighter and happier, more comfortable and at ease. |
| | Newbie Jessica Ljung Praises The OEFT Course
First of all, I would like to thank you for all the wonderful work you do and share. I am so happy to be a student of the OEFT Course. I'm still a total newbie as I have only finished the 7th class, but I am quite thorough as I have watched the self-help sessions at least twice. I also find the webinars full of new insights.
When I first started, I didn’t think I had that many issues or specific events, but as I started to immerse myself, they just keep popping up—both new specific events and aspects.
At first, I was a little hesitant and thought I did something wrong, but now I trust the process, write down what comes up, and add it to my list.
I also found the Shift-method very useful and practical. I love the preparation part. I even use it as a short "morning meditation" to tune in, be present in my body, feel what is and start my day together with The Unseen Therapist.
t is very nice. Makes all the difference in the world, as I am more at peace with whatever challenges the day might bring.
Love, Jessica |
| | Member Linda Brummett asks questions
From Gary: My responses within her questions below in red.
What percentage of your Optimal EFT Course are not professionals in the mental health care field? It's about 50-50. The Course is designed to maximize the training for both segments. As a self-help student, I do not have a client/patient base to apply my new Optimal EFT skills to. I do Personal Peace Procedures on myself with some good results. My family is not really interested in my spiritual work, so mostly what I do for them is surrogate Optimal EFT which I don’t inform them about.
I struggle a bit on doing Optimal EFT on family because I know too much about them making it difficult to look at them objectively and without preconceived notions. I don't think it's a problem if you "know too much about them." In fact, in may be an advantage. If, for example, you are judging them, then that may point to unrecognized dissatisfactions within yourself. If so, surrogate OEFT can benefit you both. Beautiful things can happen in this regard.
I have finally come to the conclusion that I need a client even if I am not in the field. An acquaintance of mine volunteered to be Client 001. We have had six sessions so far and all I can say is, what a difference it makes in understanding the process. I am getting as much out of this as she is. We both are delighted with our progress.
Your videos are fabulous, and the on-line work groups are productive, but somewhere along the line, shouldn’t there be a step where the non-professional student is face to face with another person, applying Optimal EFT, making the actual decisions on what course of action to take and then seeing the results of that action? I think watching a person’s body language gives much information on how the individual is responding.
This is the long way of asking, but, how do self-help students like me, practice without a client base? What is their way of filling the void?
We have a built-in method for this. Peruse the left hand menu in your OEFT Course Account and you will find a link for Practice Groups. There you can join with other Members and do precisely what you are requesting. You can even start your own and request one-on-one participants, group work, etc.
Big hug, Gary |
