Are we burning our candles at both ends? Have we reached the point of no return or can we still navigate our desired paths? When faced with crossroads, which paths should we take?

IETM is returning to Sofia on 12-15 June 2024 to experience Toplocentrala, the new Centre for Contemporary Performing Arts, in all its glory. In 2024, we aim to embrace our discoveries and design a fair, green and inclusive ‘new international’ vision for the sector, drawing on all that we have learnt over the past two years. On this journey, the IETM Sofia Plenary Meeting is our key destination.

Registrations for the meeting are now OPEN. We’ve compiled everything you need to know to start planning your trip - how to register, practical information, travel grant information and much more.

Early bird deadline: 15 May 2024

If you haven’t already done so, there is still time to register for IETM’s yearly policy event, taking place online tomorrow 25 January 2024 from 14:00 to 15:30 CET. The event will focus on climate justice and the performing arts. Jordi Balta, one of the main authors of our publication released in December 2023, will be the main speaker of the event, alongside the three moderators of each regional Focus Group discussion which contributed towards the main research frame of the publication.

Our intention is to reflect together on how the performing arts can - and should - pay more attention to the implications, responsibilities and artistic opportunities of climate justice.
