With Luke Johnson Maybe you've heard, but the Saints have lost four straight games. And maybe you've noticed that during that stretch, the offense has not been particularly inspiring. Saints coach Sean Payton said after his team was crushed by the Buffalo Bills at home last week that his team needs to take a close look at what it's doing and who it's doing it with. So why not take a spin with a new player at the game's most important position? There's an important qualifier to be made here, but if Taysom Hill is healthy enough to play, why not give him a shot to see if he can add some juice to what has been a stagnant offensive attack? As I get into in this piece, Hill may not be the perfect option at quarterback, but he might just give the Saints a few things that can help them in some areas where they've come up incredibly short in recent weeks. The Saints could use a healthy Hill in the lineup, regardless of what position he plays. But he's far from the only key player the Saints have been missing in recent weeks. But maybe there's good news on the horizon: The latest injury report from this week indicates some important Saints players are on the mend. Speaking of missing people: The Cowboys are going to be without their head coach Thursday night in New Orleans. Dallas head coach Mike McCarthy tested positive for COVID-19, and while he will continue to assist the team in its preparations, he will not travel with the Cowboys to New Orleans. A former Falcons head coach will take his place. Only a couple more days until game day, when we'll see if the Saints can snap their longest losing streak in six seasons.
