| Good afternoon. The bitcoin hopeful are anticipating fireworks over the next few hours following rumors of another Executive Order being signed, followed by a scheduled call between El Salvador President Nayib Bukele and President Trump. | We’ll write more on this tomorrow if anything significant comes from it. 🙂 | | | Today’s newsletter is brought to you by Pacaso |

| 5. BlackRock CEO Larry Fink Forecasts $700K Bitcoin | During a televised interview with Bloomberg at the World Economic Forum in Davos, BlackRock CEO Larry Fink suggested that widespread adoption of a 2–5% bitcoin portfolio allocation could push the price north of $700K. Fink also highlighted BTCs potential to serve as a hedge against fiat debasement, political instability, and inflation describing it as a transformative instrument, especially for people living in countries vulnerable to a volatile currency. | 4. ETH ETF Yields Coming Soon | While the SEC approving Ether ETFs last year was a boon for the protocol, one obvious thing was missing—staking yield. Due to regulatory implications, investors in ether ETFs cannot capture the ~3% “dividend” they would get from staking the asset directly on an exchange. This may be one of the reasons that the funds have had a slow start compared to their BTC counterparts. | However, this may change soon under Trump 2.0 as funds are beginning to expect staking to be approved. In speaking to Cointelegraph, Consensys founder Joe Lubin said, “We’ve been in discussions with the ETF providers, and they’re already working hard on that, so they expect that to be greenlit reasonably soon.” | 3. McAfee Lives On… Sort Of | Janice McAfee, widow of the late tech entrepreneur John McAfee, just launched a memecoin called “AIntivirus,” positioning it as an AI-driven tribute to McAfee’s anti-establishment ideals. Announced via McAfee’s own X account – sparking accusations of a hack – “AIntivirus” bills itself as the ultimate disruptor for digital freedom and privacy. Is it thing legit?! Or is Janice just… grifting? I think we all know the answer. This is what peak memecoin insanity looks like, where dead people mashed with AI chatbots can rake and rug millions. | 2. Crypto Family Office | Crypto’s favorite entrepreneur/villain/savior, Changpeng “CZ” Zhao, the founder of Binance, is out of prison, worth $70 billion, and ready to reintroduce himself. To start, CZ is transforming Binance Labs, his company’s former VC arm, which oversees $10 billion, into a family office named YZi Labs. While YZi plans to expand its investments into AI and biotech, with $10 billion, the family office is now officially the largest crypto-focused investment fund. | 1. Cynthia Lummis’s “₿ig Things” Tease Falls Flat | Wyoming Senator Cynthia Lummis sent crypto Twitter into overdrive when she hinted at “₿ig things” on X – leading some to assume she was heralding the long-promised strategic reserve. Turns out, however, Lummis was just announcing her new gig as the first-ever chair of a new Senate panel devoted to digital assets – hardly a surprise given earlier leaks. |
