IHSA to move boys basketball state finals from Peoria to Champaign

PEORIA - After 25 years, the boys high school basketball state finals are leaving Peoria.

PEORIA - It's like kind of Christmas in July for hockey players and figure skaters.

Another longstanding state tournament held in Peoria will be moving in 2021.Illinois High School Association officials voted Monday to move the annual scholastic bowl tournament to Heartland Community College in Normal through 2023 at the same meeting members voted to move the boy's basketball championships to Champaign-Urbana.
