IMPORTANT CHANGES TO

OUR VISITOR POLICY

As COVID-19 cases continue to surge in Maine and New Hampshire, we want to let you know that all patients should plan to come into our offices alone and arrange for pickup and drop off if needed. The only exceptions to this policy are for patients who absolutely require special assistance or language interpretation, or for three types of visits:

a new patient cancer consult, a treatment/chemotherapy education visit, or a scan review.

What does this mean for you?

If you have an in-person appointment with your provider or a visit other than those listed above, please do not bring a visitor with you to our offices.

The visitor will not be allowed into the exam room or the treatment room, and they will not be able to wait for you in our waiting rooms.

Other Options for You & Your Loved Ones

We have several ways for your loved ones

to participate in your visit:

You can call or video chat with your loved ones from the exam room with your provider.
You can request a telehealth appointment with your provider - just ask your care team.

HELP US STAY HEALTHY:

We are asking all NECS patients to answer these questions before they come in for an office visit.

Have you tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 20 days?
Have you been exposed to someone with Coronavirus that you are aware of?
Have you had/do you have a fever or shaking chills?
Have you had/do you have a new cough?
Have you had/do you have shortness or breath or difficulty breathing?
Have you had a loss of taste or sense of smell?
Have you traveled outside of Maine or New Hampshire?

If you answered YES to any of these questions, please call our office at 207-303-3300 or 603-828-0100 before coming in for your visit. We can help determine the right course of action for you, and limit the spread of infection.
