We have created a new area on our website to help you stay up to date with how we are improving how we work. This includes the latest news on our improvement work, how we're working with you, opportunities to help shape our work, an update on inspection report publishing, and more. In our latest update we highlight that Sir Julian Hartley will take up his role from 2 December as our new Chief Executive, and will soon be starting recruitment for 4 permanent Chief Inspectors. We also talk about how we been delivering rapid improvement work across 5 areas while we work on a full plan. In a new blog Chris Day, Director of Engagement, talks about working in partnership to design better ways of working and test ideas for improvements. Chris discusses our recent engagement activity, including co-designing new ratings characteristics, and engagement we have planned between now and the end of the year. Following the reviews into our regulatory approach led by Dr Penny Dash and Professor Sir Mike Richards we're making improvements to how we regulate. This includes activity to better support providers to understand our assessment approach. So we can measure how effective this work is, we're asking all providers for their feedback on how well they understand different aspects of our approach through this short survey. Don't miss your opportunity to help develop new ratings characteristics that will describe what we would expect to see at different ratings levels. On our digital engagement platform we have shared a draft set of ratings characteristics. We want to know if you think these give enough information / which areas need more detail. The survey closes on 15 November. |
