A Message From the Editor

Good morning. Today, Amy Guthrie tells us that Brazilian law firms are experiencing a boom in China-related work as Chinese investors expand in the country amid ongoing U.S.-China tensions. Also, Weil, Gotshal & Manges has hired a six-lawyer antitrust team in Paris. In the U.S., Susman Godfrey has been granted its motion to strike down President Trump's executive order against the firm, making it the fourth law firm to win summary judgment and have the executive order ruled unconstitutional. And The Global Lawyer examines how once fast-growing legal markets can quickly fall out of favor as law firms increasingly prioritize profitability.

– Lisa Shuchman, Executive Editor
