Today is the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s 151st anniversary. To celebrate, Google created a special “Doodle” for its US homepage, highlighting artworks from the institution’s collection. After backlash on social media and a complaint from the Cambodian government, VICE removed an article from its website that featured colorized mugshots of Khmer Rouge prisoners. The Joy of Giving Something is offering a $7,000 unrestricted cash grant for New York photo artists working outside of the Big Apple.
