It's a tragic story and you probably already know the ending. But the way in which it's told will destroy you. In many ways it's very sad. But in a way it's celebratory: it’s a celebration of Jessica Michalik.
Jessica was a music lover. A young woman fascinated by the music industry. A teenager obsessed with rock'n'roll.
Hearing her story made me think about my teenage Big Day Out experiences. She could have been any one of my friends. She could have been me.
The team who made this podcast have done an incredible job. If you are passionate about music, you will appreciate this story. It's a tribute to a young woman, not another report on festival safety.
But please listen carefully. Do so in the right space. Make sure you've got plenty of tissues, and reach out to your loved ones if it hits you hard.
