With this one easy WordPress plugin, you can do everything directly on your site, like building gorgeous checkout pages, creating upsells, scheduling sales, and more. Best of all, Studiocart makes the payment process a breeze for both you and your customers. Now, you’ll never lose another sale to a clunky checkout process. |

| | | What inspired you to build Studiocart? |
I created Studiocart out of a desire to quickly build flexible, on-brand funnels on WordPress for my web design clients. After years of waiting for the right solution to come along, I decided to fill the gap by building that solution myself. |

What challenges did you face at the beginning of your business and how did you overcome them? |
In the beginning, my biggest challenge was getting people to trust me and my product. Even though I had a product that people wanted and needed, it was really hard to get beta testers, which was incredibly frustrating. Fortunately, I was able to get Studiocart into AppSumo’s marketplace. Being on AppSumo gave my product a huge credibility boost and helped me gain the trust I needed to make my first few sales. Once the positive reviews started coming in and word of mouth spread, I could finally say I officially had a plugin business. |

What advice would you give to women who want to become entrepreneurs? |
Optimize your time. A lot of us buy into the superwoman image of the wife and mother with a thriving career, which requires wearing a lot of different hats and can lead to feeling like we have to do everything ourselves. And it's especially easy to fall into this trap when you're an entrepreneur who's just starting out and you don't necessarily have the ability to hire others to help you. Over time, I developed an attitude of “If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself.” But that's a lie that had me spreading myself way too thin and it definitely slowed down my ability to grow—I was so busy with family and working in my business that I didn't have time to work on my business. That didn't change until I started looking and asking for more support both at home and at work. Small acts like using a tool to automate a process or renegotiating who does what around the house had a major impact on not just my well-being but also my ability to grow my business. |
