Resilient Morrisons expects industry-wide price inflation | Interim pre-tax profit and exceptionals has fallen at Morrisons in results which the business said covered a robust period of trading set against a variety of challenges. The supermarket giant, which is currently the subject of a takeover battle, added that it expects industry-wide price inflation during the second half, driven by commodity price increases and freight inflation and the current shortage of HGV drivers.
