Up-cycled Gift Box

By Holly

Up-cycled Gift Box - Christmas paper covered tea box, to use as a gift boxThis used to be a tea box! I first made these when I was dead broke and in a pinch to help out with a family Christmas. Someone on ThriftyFun had once posted about re-using a sugar bag for sugar cookies, which got the gears turning. So many possibilities!

Make Your Own Garlic Salt

By likekinds

Mix garlic powder, onion powder and salt to make your own blend.I really enjoy hot buttered garlic toast. I find the minced garlic spread overpowering. I even find garlic salt a bit too much. If I did like it, I wouldn't buy it. A minimum of a dollar for less than a penny's worth of salt with a little powdered garlic added. Ouch!

Here's how to open them up quickly and not squish a single seed.

Is there a vacuum out there that actually really works with pet hair on rugs and brick/non-carpeted floors?
