Today is Youth Day, marking the 46th anniversary of the student uprising in Soweto. Though our gorgeous country still faces many challenges, we've certainly come a long way since then. With exceptionally worrying levels of unemployment in South Africa and especially among our youth, the future is uncertain. Things are not easy out there. Inflation is causing sharp increases in our most basic expenses and the pressures are clear to see. There are no easy answers here. I prefer to avoid politics entirely, focusing instead on what I believe my purpose in life is: sharing investment and business insights to help people uplift themselves and make better decisions with their money. There are many out there who are doing a great job with basic personal finance tips, so I prefer to stick to my passion of bringing knowledge and analysis to those who are ready to take the next big steps in thei r lives: investing in the market and starting formal businesses. Today, most of you reading this have a day off from work. Spend it with your loved ones and get some rest. In addition to that, try and find some time to listen to a podcast or read an article that you'll learn something from. Investing in the market can have mixed results but investing in yourself is always a win. There's no new content today. I'll cover yesterday's market news in tomorrow's mailer. Instead, I've given you a selection of some of the most detailed and important content released in Ghost Mail recently. As we celebrate the progress we've made as a country, let's not lose sight of what still needs to be done. It starts with me. It starts with you. It starts with all of us. Have a lovely day! |
