The Middle East Forum cordially invites you to a briefing with

Gregg Roman

As the Saudi government lessens its funding for Islamism and becomes more friendly with Israel, minuscule but rich Qatar has picked up the slack, especially in the United States. Mr. Roman will discuss Qatar's charm offensive and review how the emirate uses its immense soft power diplomacy to influence U.S. policy, from Afghanistan to arms deals. He will explain why Qatar matters, what to expect going forward, and how to combat its malign influence.
