The Modern and Contemporary Art Department is now inviting entries for the next timed auction starting on 22nd October. The department hosts multiple specialist auctions each year focused on contemporary paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints and multiples as well as single-owner collection sales. Since the inception of the Modern and Contemporary Art department, Halls Fine Art has seen them grow in size and success year upon year and it is now the leading department in the region.
Sir Kyffin Williams RA (1918-2006), Clynnog, signed bottom right 'KW', oil on canvas, 70 x 91cm Notes: The work has been in private hands, in mid Wales, since the 1970s and this is the first time it has been on the open market. The village of Clynnog and the church depicted in the painting sits on the North coast of the Llyn Peninsula in Gwynedd. Sold for £13,000
