| | Mo(o)re economic growth What it do, technologists and entrepreneurs? I wanted to share some highlights from Gov. Wes Moore's recent press conference at Fearless' offices, where he outlined his plans to unlock Maryland's economic potential. Acknowledging that Maryland has fallen behind in economic growth, the governor introduced the Maryland Economic Council as a command center to develop a robust economic strategy. This council will focus on understanding the state's capabilities, analyzing competitors and creating a comprehensive plan for Maryland's economic future. The goal is to build a more competitive economy that leverages the unique assets of different regions and leaves no one behind. Gov. Moore says that he envisions Maryland as the best place in the world to make a positive impact. The council will aim to guide his administration in taking action, developing budgets, approving legislation and attracting businesses. Economic growth, equity and protecting essential freedoms are at the core of his vision to make Maryland economically strategic and attractive. With a cohesive plan in place, maybe we can leverage Maryland's assets and create an environment that attracts businesses. As technologists and entrepreneurs, your contributions are vital in shaping Maryland's economic landscape. Let's keep collaborating to transform Maryland into a thriving hub of innovation and prosperity. — Technical.ly reporter Alanah Nichole Davis (alanah@technical.ly) | | | | By As part of Technical.ly’s yearlong Thriving reporting project, here are 10 populations we’re following most closely.
