Dear Reader, After years of soaring interest rates, economists are now expecting central banks to begin cutting this year. History tells us this spells a potential gold rush in 2024 (here’s what I think you should do to prepare). Look at the chart below. Notice how gold went vertical during the last three interest rate drops in 2008, 2019, and 2020? But the question is, when exactly will rates go down? Many think the Fed will start cutting in early 2024. Some, like Westpac Banking economist Luci Ellis, believe the RBA won’t do so until late this year. In other words, no one really knows for sure.
