While the main invasion phase might conclude by the end of January, smaller battles against insurgents could continue for up to nine months. This prolonged engagement underlines the challenges of dismantling Hamas's extensive terror network and infrastructure.

Meanwhile, tensions are escalating on Israel's northern front. Hezbollah has warned of a 'new escalation,' responding to recent Israeli airstrikes near the Israeli-Lebanese border. The IDF's actions, seen as a significant escalation, come amidst efforts to reach a diplomatic solution. However, with the likelihood of such a resolution appearing slim, Israel is preparing for potential military actions to neutralize Hezbollah's threat.
