| It could be YOURS! There are just two weeks left to visit the OPEN at Atelier. We can't believe that it has gone by so fast, but it's almost time to take down this excellent and eclectic show. Come and see the 280 pieces by 180 artists and pick up a piece for yourself. We guarantee that there is something for everyone in this epic show. It's wonderful to spend time with so many artworks, and we are all a little bit in love with this handmade hook and latch rug by Simon Fraser. Measuring 148 x 218 cm and made of pink Romney wool on a canvas backing, it's quite the statement piece. "My rugs are based on small items (a lottery ticket, a Sainsbury's receipt, a rail ticket etc)" says Simon, "which I then enlarge. There's something about things being the wrong scale that I find very appealing and amusing." Grayson Perry obviously thought so too, as he bought Simon's train ticket rug for himself. | YSA Jewellery Yuki Assiter is from Kamakura, Japan and has lived and worked in London since 2004. She worked as a large scale metals welder, packaging designer and editorial designer in Tokyo before becoming a jeweller. Yuki draws influence for her collections from positive events in her life, her surroundings, and the differences in historic jewellery styles between in England and Japan. This Tiny Pond Ripple collection is inspired by the natural world around her and is made using thin wires that create unique and rich patterns with their natural lines and textures. Available in sterling silver, oxidised sterling silver, 18ct yellow gold plating on sterling silver and 18ct rose gold plating on sterling silver, we have a great selection in the gallery and online at the moment.
