After a heroic effort by Democrats in Congress to kill Trump's Big Ugly Bill, Republicans voted to abandon the American people and pass their billionaire-first budget. Oregon's Democratic Senators and Representatives deserve our heartfelt gratitude and support for fighting tooth-and-nail for Oregonians. We must all do everything we can support them now and be ready to do what it takes to make sure our Congressional delegation wins in 2026.
Republicans just voted to:
❌ Cut $1 Trillion from Medicaid
❌ Rip healthcare away from 1.2 million Oregonians
❌ Shut down rural hospitals and nursing homes
❌ Take food away from 272,600 Oregon children
All to pay for the biggest transfer of wealth in history from everyday Americans to the pockets of billionaires.
So here's the plan:
🇺🇸 We take back Congress in 2026 by re-electing Senator Merkley and
Rep. Bonamici, Rep. Salinas, Rep. Hoyle, Rep. Dexter, and Rep. Bynum
🇺🇸 We re-elect Governor Kotek, who has championed the protection of vital programs that are at critical risk due to the Republican budget
🇺🇸 We elect Democrats to the state legislature to protect and expand our majorities to continue to make key critical investments in our state
🇺🇸 We unseat Cliff Bentz - who just sold out the veterans, farmers, and hundreds of thousands of families in Congressional District 2 - along with every Republican who supports these atrocious policies
Republicans may have passed their bill, but Americans oppose this legislation 2 to 1 and Oregonians aren't going to take this lying down.
