Sarah Allen is the author of What Stars Are Made Of, Breathing Underwater, The Nightmare House, and Monster Tree. She has also published in The Evansville Review, Cicada, and on Writers Digest. Born and raised in Utah, she received an MFA in creative writing from Brigham Young University and now lives in Orlando, FL, 15 minutes from the Magic Kingdom. She spends her non-writing time watching David Attenborough documentaries and blasting show tunes. |
Angel Luis Colón is the Derringer Award– and Anthony Award–nominated author of Hell Chose Me, the “Blacky Jaguar” novella series, No Happy Endings, and the short story collection Meat City on Fire and Other Assorted Debacles. His work has also appeared in multiple web and print publications including Thuglit, Literary Orphans, and Great Jones Street. Infested is his debut YA novel. |
Lamar Giles is the author of the acclaimed novels The Getaway, The Last Last-Day-of-Summer, Not So Pure and Simple, SPIN, Fake ID, and Ruin Road. He has also written for globally beloved brands like DC Comics, Star Wars, and National Geographic. He is a three-time Mystery Writers of America Edgar Award nominee, a recipient of ALA’s Black Caucus Youth Literary Award, and a founding member of the nonprofit We Need Diverse Books. He resides in Virginia with his family. |
Remy Lai studied fine arts with a major in painting and drawing. She was born in Indonesia, grew up in Singapore, and currently lives in Brisbane, Australia, where she writes and draws stories for kids with her two dogs by her side. She is the author of the critically acclaimed Pie in the Sky, Fly on the Wall, Pawcasso, the “Surviving the Wild” series, Ghost Book, Read at Your Own Risk, and Chickenpox. |
Moderator Allie Stevens Gosselink is the director at the Calhoun County Library in Hampton, AR. She was a 2018 Library Journal Mover & Shaker, a 2018 ALA Emerging Leader, and is a member-at-large of the YALSA Board of Directors.
