This week we are focusing on the theme of listening—both to the Holy Spirit and to the voices of the kingdom.

In his book Life Together, Dietrich Bonhoeffer says,

“The first service that one owes to others in the fellowship consists in listening to them. Just as love to God begins with listening to His Word, so the beginning of love for the brethren is learning to listen to them. It is God’s love for us that He not only gives us His Word but also lends us His ear.”

We have the listening ear of Christ and we are called to be the listening ear to others—even those we might disagree with—so that we might learn to love them.

At Christianity Today, we want to model listening with empathy and understanding so that we might find unity in the midst of our diversity. Will you join us?
