She waits patiently while I layer a cotton wrap with Velcro straps over the diaper to hold it in place. I’ve already washed a load of bedding from the kennel where she sleeps at night. I’ve fed her breakfast. I’ve let her in and out of the house several times, although it’s usually just after she has wet her diaper without warning. She trots off to one of her beds in the living room or to the kitchen to see if I have dropped some tasty food on the floor. Her spine sticks up like a row of teeth despite two meals a day and several treats. She has pulled out chunks of her own fur, leaving her looking more like a hairless Egyptian cat than a Beagle.
