This episode features Halsey Minor, Founder of CNET and Co-Founder of Salesforce.com, who is now CEO of immersive video company, LivePlanet: the latter’s subsidiary, VideoCoin, today launched a platform which it says significantly reduces the cost of uploading, encoding and distributing video content by drawing on “all unused storage and hardware across American businesses, eliminating the cost for hardware engineering and IT support.” The platform, which is now commercially available, competes with Amazon’s AWS offering.
